Default Auto Stop/Start disable button not working

Last week I discovered that my auto start/stop disable button is not working. I haven't used this feature for the past 7 months. Anyone else have a similar issue. I checked for DTC's and nothing related shows up. I plan on taking my truck to the dealer for an oil change Tuesday, I'll have them check it then. Just kind of irritating now that its warm, my I can't disable it with the AC running.

I think that is how it's designed to work. The ac runs off the drive belt so if the engine is off then the ac compressor wouldn't work. Also if the battery is low I would imagine the same thing would happen where the button wouldn't disable it. I don't have a start stop but this is how I would think it would work

I wish it stayed on. lol. The problem is that it turns off when the AC is on.

Put it in Sport Mode or Tow/Haul and that should also disable the stop-start between now and bringing it into the dealer. If it doesn't, that's something potentially useful to tell the tech.

Sport mode does not disable auto stop and start--only tow and haul.

Once the engine stops with the AC running turn the temp lower one degree at a time, that should restart the engine. I know that is not what you want to do permanently, just do it for testing purposes.

Thanks for the advice. I will try that today. Im thinking the actual switch is bad. If anyone has a 2.7 with auto start stop, do you remember if the light illuminates when your turn the key (or press start) to accessory mode, without turning on the truck? Mine does not illuminate at anytime now.

False. RTFM.

From the manual, auto stop-start is enabled if:
You have not selected Tow haul, Sport, Sand, Mud/Rut or Baja modes. (if equipped).
Note: Note when in Sport mode it can be enabled by pressing the Auto-Start-Stop button.

Can the Auto start/stop be disabled full time? I hate this feature and cant find anything to keep it off other than hitting the button after starting.
