Default Auto Stop Eliminator

May be of interest to some of you who hate the "Auto Stop Start" feature on our trucks. Use "Autovlog" to save 10%

There's several ways to do this without spending a dime.

Personally, I used ForScan to eliminate mine, but I do see the applicability of being able to turn A.S.S. back on under some circumstances, like traffic jams. However, I'm not going to spring for anywhere NEAR $99.99, even if I do get 10% off. If the price ever gets down to what I consider reasonable, I will think about it.

Tough crowd. Just putting it out there for those that may have an interest. Personally I don't mind Auto Stop Start and if I did I would just press the dash button to turn it off.

Can you provide more details on this? Is the cable on the front brake? Thanks

Mine is a 2018 XL STX and I don't tow anything or plan on it any time soon. Read from post 352 on down in this thread....

This post includes a pic of the connector.

This post is another option. There are many. Several are free some are expensive. Check out that whole thread for options.

If that device works as advertised it is by far the best solution yet. Anyone try it yet?

Disadvantages of other solutions.

Forscan and taking BMS wire off of battery: Disables BMS. Cannot turn *** on if you want.
OBD port deactivator: Plays with trucks software and is known to cause issues.
Disconnecting wire at bake pedal: Lose trailer lights and cannot turn *** on without plugging back in,
*** Electronics box. Cannot turn *** back on.
EDIT: Jumper wire on switch: Doesn't work on 2018 and can't turn *** back on.

Guys do a lot of bitching about *** (myself included). For $100 bucks you can have the best of all worlds. Problem solved.

What about disconnecting the plug at the battery. Anyone posted negatives to that yet?
