Default Auto start temperature settings

How does the "auto" temperature selection work under the following conditions:

17 XLT, Autostart , Synch 3 , heated but not cooled seats, no climate control through the touch screen it is done the old fashioned way under normal operation.

I think when you autostart the truck looks at the outside temp and does something by default, but in the manual I only find explanation for how things work when climate control is through the touch screen.

I worry about these things.

My truck which has remote start has a temp sensor in the duct work below the top dash tray (where the center speaker is if equipped). I had another apart that didn't have remote start and there was just a white filler plug in the hole. Both mine and the other have manual climate controls so it is monitoring the interior temp. I know it cools to 72ish degrees when the temp is above that. Not sure what it warms to when the temp is below but I do know it turns the seat heaters on.
