I would test drive WITH the service writer/tech in the truck.

If it such a problem and the dealer won't do anything, I would permanently disable it.

Forscan bypass this, jumper wire the button on the dash or stick a 7pin to 4 pin adapter trailer plug in your rear plug if you have. These will bypass the shutoff feature. Many threads on this on the forums. But the dealer doesn't sound like a good dealer if they are not having any concern getting it fixed.

Now it did it again today, and i have to parking lines on my backup camera. Like i paid 50k for a truck that's driving me insane. Any ideas? The dealership won't put in any effort....

First thing I would check is the battery. Have it tested at a local parts store. I picked my 2018 F150 up on Dec 31st and the auto start/stop stopped working around Feb, I had the battery tested and it was bad. Kept running the battery because no issues starting but I did have errors pop up if I used accessory or the 110v plug without the truck running. Finally replaced it with a Walmart H6 and everything back to normal. Good luck.

Default Auto start stop intermittent issue.

My 2018 has been doing this since I’ve had it periodically (about 3 months). It’s totally inconsistent. Sometimes it starts right up without hesitation and other times it’s sluggish during start, comes to a complete stop while cranking, then eventually starts. A couple of times, it wouldn’t start at all and indicated “shift to park and restart vehicle” Also recently tried to use remote start and it began to crank and completely stopped before turning over. I’m having the battery replaced this week even though it tested normal and hoping that will take care of the problem.

If the battery is testing fine it’s likely the starter. I had similar issues on my 2017 last year and replacing the battery did nothing. Replace the starter a month later and no issues since.

I have a new to me 2018,some days it works fine most days does not work at all. My battery is date stamped 2017 and it still checks out good but on the weak side. The truck is a Lariat loaded with a 502a package and everything else is running as it should. I do see a new battery in my near future.
