Default Auto Start/Stop disable button not working

Has anyone had issues with the auto start stop disable button not functioning? The auto start stop feature works perfectly (I’d prefer it didn’t). But there is no way to turn it off because the button doesn’t do anything when pushed. The symbol is illuminated but when clicked the “off” symbol does not flash. Anyone know how to trouble shoot this?

If you don’t tow anything with trailer lights, there is a small white harness clip that disables it if you unplug it under the driver’s side dash.

Yup. I just did this over the weekend (don't know why I waited so long). Takes one minute to complete.

i just bought the truck used and when I hooked up the trailer, none of the lights were working. I chased every damn fuse and wire trying to figure it out. The next few days I realized the auto start/stop never worked. When I plugged the harness back in from the previous owner the lights worked again. What a waste of time chasing everything prior.

Are you saying it's not turning off or that it's just not indicating as such? Does OFF light up on the button?

the button lights up white behind the start stop symbol but when clicked the “off” light doesn’t flash. The button doesn’t turn the system off either.

My guess, someone has installed the auto stop elimiantor in the wiring behind the switch, and it has failed, and non of it works now.

Possibly but I wouldn't think the original auto stop eliminator. I use one, ordered directly from the company and it's a quality product. Perhaps a knock off cheapo from Amazon.

I like my obdii version as well. I'd pop the bessel off and take a peek, goofy symptom the op has.
