Default Auto Start/Stop

So after being on this forum for some time, I notice a lot of talk about this feature. My question is, do all trucks have this? I have a 16 3.5 EB XLT and it doesn't have it. Am I missing something here?

I believe it was rolled out in 2017.

About the only thing you are actually missing is that your Truck does not shut off the engine when you Come to a complete stop. -- of course there are a few things that Ford would say makes the feature very important to all of us! I am not a large fan of the A/S/S, but I do like it at times. such as stopped for a rail road crossing or at some potentially very long lights. I'm not necessarily a big fan of it and wish it was more configurable from the Factory, but I can press a button easy enough, whenever I feel like it, so I sort of got used to it being there.

When I was test driving different trucks at the dealer, they all had this feature. I noticed that the only one that didn't was the one I got. I just now realized that it was missing. I turned it off on all the others I was driving as I didn't like it at all. Kind of glad mine doesn't have it.

The 2.7 came out in 15 and it was the first to have A/s/s
The 3.5 got A/S/S in 17 and and all the rest got it in 18.
I turn it off once in a while but usually just leave it.

I don't mind it. It's very smooth and my 26/23 mpg is pretty nice.
