Default Auto start stop

I have the 2.7 ecoboost engine and it has the auto start stop feature on it! Is there any way to permantly disable this? I don't like it and don't want it. I can push a button every time I start my truck but I don't want to have to do that ether

I believe you can disable this feature in the productivity screen on the dash. I don't have a 2015 but read about this online. Someone with a 2.7 EB should be able to confirm this for you.

You can't permanently turn the feature off. If you go into the dash display like frdtrt stated you can turn it off in the display but the next time you start it defaults to the run/stop again so I have no idea why they put that useless feature in the dash display.

If you buy an aftermarket tuner you can turn it off in there. I have not asked my dealer if they can turn it off yet. The on/off is all related to how much
brake pedal pressure you apply to the pedal while sitting at a stop. Once stopped, lightly lift your foot off the pedal til the truck still won't move and it won't shut off. It is all tied into the stoplight switch on the brake pedal. FWIW..

All 2.7's have it. I'm with you-I am not a fan of it. But, it is the future. I suspect this will be the last truck I am able to buy without it.

I have it and if I know Im not going to be waiting long then I lightly depress the pedal and it wont turn off. In traffic I just turn it off. I like the feature as some of the lights I sit at are long and it saves fuel. Other things that make the feature not work are defrost and I think max ac, also the angle of your front wheels.

Thanks for the info! I am going to talk to my dealer about turning it off! we have several stop lights here and non last long. About the time the truck shuts down it has to restart. I think it is unnecessary wear on my starter. I will ask next time I buy something if it has it and have it turned off before I sign any papers.
