Default Auto On/Off

Hey guys. So i have kind of a weird thing. My 15' 2.7 eco recently has started disabling the auto on/off by itself. Meaning i dont press the button to turn it off and there are times where the off light is lit up and that function gets disabled. I mentioned it to the dealer at the last oil change, but they said they didnt find anything. Anyone else experience this??

Have you considered what the vehicle is doing at the time? If it's hot out, and your A/C is running, that impacts it. If the battery needs charging, that makes it keep running. If you're in Tow/Haul mode, Sport mode, ...

It has happened in just day to day commuting. So no Sport or Tow mode and yes my a/c has been on at times and others it hasnt. its something that started maybe a month or 2 ago and never happened in the first 9-10 months i owned the truck so i cant really pinpoint a specific time it always seems to happen. The battery was supposed to have been checked during the multi point inspection at the oil change but i guess you never know for sure. Its just kind of odd that it just started happening out of nowhere and i personally liked the on/off so i want it to function properly. Also it should be noted i cant reactivate the function without completely shutting off my truck and then pressing the on/off button.

Your manual will explain the conditions under which the AS/S will be disabled.

I find that mine is very sensitive to brake pressure. If I pull up to a complete stop, but only hold enough pedal pressure to keep the truck from rolling, it will not engage. If I put more pressure on the pedal while stopped, the auto stop/start will engage.

Yea but mine is disabling itself and then it stays disabled, meaning the light on the button comes on and the auto on/off stays off.

Has to be something in the switch. The OFF light will not come on if one of the conditions is not right
