I don't see how this is annoying. You can't see your headlights... The only thing would be that your gauges and radio would go slightly dim for a few seconds, but it's not like they turn off, you can still see them. First-world problems huh?
while you cannot see your lights themselves, you can still see them flash against other objects. That, along with dimming dash lights, the 8" screen "blacking out" and the audible click of the relay is more than enough to annoy some (i.e. me)
but, like you said, the "problem" is just a nuisance. i guess if these are the things we are discussing, IMO FORD did well.
Don't know about the F150 but on my old BMW on back of the sensor it self was a small POT adjustment but you had to use a tweaker to get it to fit. (or eye glass flat head). Might be worth a look.
