Default Auto-dimming headlights

The auto-dimming headlights on my 2017 Platinum used to work fine. Now they work sometimes, but not often. Nothing is blocking the sensor and I have no idea what the deal is. Does anyone else have this issue or have an idea what the problem might be?

What is auto-dimming headlight?

Do you mean automatically switching on/off the high beams?
Do you mean the DRL system is not operating?

In both cases, the light dial must be in 'auto' mode for them to work.

Automatically switching off the high beams. If DLR is daylight running lights, that is not it. The thing is that they work sometimes, so the dial must be in the right setting. Puzzling...
