Default ATV Riser Ramps

Tailgate held up with ratchet straps, plywood at front to prevent ATV from damaging front of box/ window.

Using ratchet straps to secure tailgate!
Has anyone used ATV Riser ramps to allow a you to close the tailgate on a 6.5 bed when hauling an ATV?

Has anyone built their own from 2X4 lumber?

I recently purchased a 2012 Arctic Cat MudPro 700 with less than 300 miles.

Would like to be able to secure the tailgate, but wondering if it creates a risk of knocking out the rear glass in the truck, with the front brushguard bumper, or if the rear bumper still obstructs the tailgate from closing.

I am confused. We normally haul with the tailgate down, and the ATV ratchet strapped securely in the bed with the ATV in park and the parking brake on.

I use one of these with the tailgate down. It holds it in nicely.

My ATV won't fit in my truck. I'm considering getting that diamond plate hard tonneau.

I bought a brand new adjustable height riser from the classifieds for $175. Fully aluminum and lightweight. Works great, but I still have to put the rear end of my Outlander 1000 on 6x6 blocks for the exhaust and rear pull bumper to clear the tailgate. I only run this setup when I haul my travel trailer.

I watched a guy load an ATV like that and blow out his rear window glass with the push bar. It also looks like a great way to "spring load" your cargo to fly out the back.

Those Louisiana Guard Dogs work great. No worries with one of those.
