To be honest I had them put in so I can't help you out. It couldn't have been difficult though because it only took the shop 30 minutes.

I put Morimotos in the first shipment that came out....here is my observation...you have two choices...
Front....slide the butter knives or similar objects in each side and push forward from the rear.....I guess....I did not do it that way!
Rear.....use a flat stubby screwdriver to pry up each of the "tabs" that hold the factory assy in place and push the assy forward....tight fit but that method worked for me
Third option some used was to drop the bumper, but I personally did not need to do that.....hope this helps....

Butter knife foglight removal tool.
The first thing is to take off the retention screw along with the spring completely. This is the only thing that hold the housing in place so you can adjust the beam aim. The butter knife fits perfectly so you can notch out the housing tab from the plastic threshold. You have to do both sides little by little so it notch out of the side grooves that holds them in place. You can see it come out of their grooves. Don't over do on one side it will make it difficult . You have to have the housing come out evenly. Once it comes out put your hand and pushed it out from the back. Mind you have to take off the back cover off by unscrew the two bolts. Then have a screw driver hold the cover as you peel back. This will give access to the housing from behind. The trick is to be patience. Apply pressure forward from the back and the OEM housing will come out. When you pop in the Morimoto LED it should make a nice pop click sound. Don't worry if the housing loosely move up and down. You will be able to tighten up with the spring screw. Oh and be sure to take out the white plastic tab and put it on the new Morimoto LED housing. The first housing took me about 10 minutes to figure it out. The next one was a breeze. Hope this help. BTW does anyone like to buy the OEM foglights and I even throw in a bonus $25 Amazon 9005 LED bulb? All yours for the amazing low price of $150 ! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just installed the Morimoto fogs this evening. I was a little worried it was going to be a pain since I don't have much experience installing mods myself. It turned out to be a pretty simple install. The option I did was go through the front to push the tabs in to remove the stock housing. I tried from underneath, but found it was easier going through the front. I used two skinny flatheads. I got one clip off and left the flathead in there. I then used the other flathead for the other tab. After that, it's pretty simple. Push in the Morimoto's and screw back in the retention screw and spring. Then hook up the wires. The most important step with installing these lights is making sure you test the polarity first before inserting the wires into the stock harness.

What a DEAL.....smile....I bought the Amazon lights but never opened them since Raptor finally got the Morimoto's in......I actually returned them to Amazon for full credit, minus shipping.
Post #87 on Morimoto Fog thread was interesting.....
Am I correct in assuming these will not blind oncoming drivers? I did the cheap bulb-only replacement in my fogs and I get brighted by oncoming drivers constantly, I think I know the answer to this, just want to be sure.
