2016 Eco 24,500 miles 4wd Lariat.

Just updated Sync 3 to Build 19205 (software version 3.0). No issues or errors.

According to ford online (yeah I know) they state it should now be Apple CarPlay compatible. I deleted my phone. Reconnected and still no CarPlay. Either Bluetooth or USB

I can't find anything on their page that says otherwise other than this update. I know hardware is required in the head unit. But it doesn't mention anything like that online.

Thoughts or ideas?

You also need to change the USB port to the CarPlay compliant one and you'll be good to go. Very easy job. Congrats on such low miles.

Yeah. It is my dads. He doesn't get out much so I look after it for him. I'll driving it up to Iowa with my son to get him moved into dorm next weekend. He has a cover over the bed. My daily is a 2012 Eco lariat with only 66k without a cover. Like the cover in case of weather to keep stuff dry

I love both of them and never a real issue with either. Guess we got lucky with these two
