2016 f 150 xlt, 8 inch screen, sync 3 V 1
I am having issues with my systems and thinking my apim is going out.
I have tried to take system upgrades to V 3 and V 2.2 and it did not take
I have tried to master reset and factory reset and it did not take or erase data
I have a new batterie and have tried disconnecting for 30 min and nothing
Bluetooth does not stay connected to any new phone and i can't erase the older phones connected
Every once in a while, the screen will black out and truck will need to be restarted.
Screen still responds to touch

I am thinking about replacing with an aftermarket head unit but also considering just replacing the APIM. I saw on naviupgrade.com you can get a new apim with the latest version of sync pre loaded and mapped to your vin.

Any thoughts
is this my apim?
should i go with an new apim or a new aftermarket head unit?
