Default APIM Busted?

2016 Lariat, 2.7 EB with sync 3. Installed new door speakers, tweeters, amp to power all, and a hid-a-sub. Of course, I tested everything before buttoning the truck back together and it all sounded great, no issues with anything at all. Get all the wiring cleaned up, panels put back on, and go to start the truck and can't get any audio to work. The rest of the sync 3 unit works fine, I can connect my phone to Bluetooth, etc.. Every time I touch the audio button in the bottom left quarter of the screen it won't load. No Bluetooth, no radio, and the volume **** and the tune **** do not work either. Holding the power button and fast-forward track reset doesn't work, already pulled the fuse and disconnected the battery. All met with no luck.

Ive got a forscan OBD2 reader coming in tomorrow, but in the meantime, has anyone had this issue before? Does this sound like a bad APIM or ACM? Ive got no clue whats wrong with it since it was all working fine until it got cleaned up and put back together.

Double check all your wiring and connections. Must have pulled or shorted something when buttoning up.

I think the issue might be a MS-can bus issue. I was also getting a BLIS fault message and sure enough the right tail light had water all in the housing and the connectors were soaked. I dried everything out and reinstalled it, got AC controls back and BLIS works fine now. Audio still not working, however. It seems like the audio system/ac/blis all run through the same system? Is there a way to test in Forscan and see where the issue is occurring in the truck?

Here are the modules which communicate over the MS-CAN bus:
  • APIM
  • DDM
  • FCIM
  • HSWM
  • GPSM
  • GWM
  • PDM
  • RBM
  • DSM
  • RTM
  • SCME
  • SCMG
  • SCMH
  • SODL
  • SODR
  • TFM
It is possible that you need to clear some DTCs and restart some modules (with FORScan) before everything starts working properly again.

DCT's all reset and re-ran. Getting APIM U0184:00-0B and IPC U0193:00-0A codes. Went through with forscan and tested/reset most modules, and still nothing. Forscans not even loading the ACM for me to test/reset. Guess ill start looking into ACM replacements or rebuild services.
