I'm looking to upgrade my XLT 302a lighting package. What say you on this set? I see the LEDs included are not DOT approved. Anyone have experience with them? I hate blinding lights in peoples eyes, I'm super sensitive to bright lights and think its the most obnoxious thing to do. With that, like many of us, not happy with the performance of the halogens on the 302a. I'd like to complete my look, and thinking of going this route.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks! Saves me from buying one upgrade at a time, let me know if anyone has this and provide pics and install feedback!
i could see if the package came with install.. there is basically no benefit to buying the package instead of buying the headlights by themselves and installing the LED bulbs of your choice .. its not like you're buying the bulbs after install
I have to say after not being happy with the stock halogens I just did a long trip with my new XB's and love them so far. Way better than the stockers and super crisp cut off, you can't even see the lights inside the vehicle in front of you.
Also I think the high beams on these head lights are brighter than the 20" light bar I had before.
HID will give you more lux over LED. I didn't do a shootout with HID in the new 2018 Anzos, but here is a comparison in the 2015-2017 Anzos. Keep in mind the 2018 Anzos, when running our G11 Series put out about 950 lux, so a lot more lux then the 2015-2017. Anzo changed the projectors in the new 2018. With that said, you'll PROBABLY get anywhere from 1000 lux to 1500 lux with HID in the new Anzos. I'll test them out this weekend, as I have to do another shootout since we just received some SuperNovas that we want to put our CrystaLux products up against.
Thanks all. I kind of agree on the taillights, I'm not sure if i like them. Also didn't look close enough to see if they stick out. Not doing this tomorrow so just wanted some opinions, so thanks! I think I'll just do the headlights and see how that goes.
Stage3 is a CrystaLux dealer so the bulbs they offer on their site are either our G9 Series or G11 series. I recommend if you order from Stage3 add on the LED bulbs as an option. You're going to want them. I'd also HIGHLY SUGGEST you request our G11 Series in your order comments (or call them once you place the order) as they are a better bulb. Stage3 is working on updating their site so they still have the G9 Series listed.
With that said, LED bulbs that are non-OEM are not going to be DOT approved. It's just not going to happen. BUT you don't need to worry about glare. The G11 Series bulbs don't cause glare and keep the light clean, especially inside that Anzo Housing.
Stage3 sells our products so if you are buying housings from them awesome. Add on the LED bulbs at checkout. Doug posted our shootout that shows how they look above.

Awesome, appreciate that, makes it more clear for me, thanks!
