Default Anyone try this grille?

Looking for anyone that’s tried this one firsthand but certainly welcome thoughts and opinions. I could do without the center bar but I like that it accepts the factory emblem. I also like the white LEDs rather than amber. I’m actually pretty happy with the stock 6 bar grille in my STX but I think the Raptor style mesh is a little more aggressive and would mimic the 18+ STX, especially if I had the surround portion paint matched. Biggest concern would be quality as compared to the stock grille. I have to wonder if the aftermarket piece is going to fade or discolor faster than the stock one would. I’d rather leave the factory one in than be pulling the mesh one to paint it in three years.

I have that grill on my 2014 that was sold by EGR. I bought it off Amazon. I love the grill and looks brand new still after it being used for the last 2 years.

Essentially the same grille or similar quality as my GalaxyMoto installed 2 years ago, except mine didn't come with the horizontal bar and the emblem mount. I had to customize my emblem mount from a Super Duty grille to accommodate the larger Super Duty 13-inch emblem. Had the perimeter professionally painted and the mesh was left unpainted matte black, I haven't seen any fading yet.

I think the very bottom portion needs painted or else it looks tacky. I would like it a lot more without the bar but have had the chrome version saved on eBay.

I read through your project. I’m too lazy for all that, lol. That’s why I’ve only looked at grilles with the emblem mount. Your’s does look awesome though.

I agree that it looks best with the surround painted. It’s a shame the surround and mesh aren’t two pieces. Would make painting a good bit easier. I too could do without the bar but have yet to see an off the shelf grille with the emblem mount only (like the blue one above).

Regret getting the forward facing camera. None of these aftermarket grills work with it.

I hadn’t even noticed. It’s almost like the bottoms line up but the bar isn’t wide enough to match the factory lines. Thanks for pointing that out.
