Default Anyone thinking of modifying their headlight assembly

I found a shop that will modify my stock led headlamps. I want to change the led ring to white as the running light, paint the inside black and white and add a slight tint to the clear glass. The issue is I have to remove the stock lamps and send them in for a week rendering my truck useless. I was wondering if someone has a set of lamps I could rent off of you or if there is a group of us thinking of doing the same thing and we could all work out a buddy system. I'm thinking for example 10 of us want to do the same so for example I pay for the lamps eg. $500 and since there's 10 of us it will only cost us $50 buxs each to use the lights and when we're done we sell them if they are still in good shape and split the profit so it costs us almost nothing to use the lamps. We would have to figure something out to keep it honest but it could work.

Not a bad idea, but, a used complete set of led headlights will run in the 1k range. Then you'd have to get a deposit from whoever uses them, large and very fragile to ship, etc etc.

You'd be cheaper and easier to just rent a car for a week.

Jeremy did my headlights btw and did a great job.

I was thinking of using the halogen lights and making them work but I guess renting a cheap car would be ok too but plan a would still be a bit cheaper

The halogen headlights would require a custom built harness to make them work. Totally different wiring.

I did my own headlights about 6 months ago for my mustang (2 tone paint, Oracle Halos) and although it came out great I am definitely going to pay someone else to do these. The complex shape and $1k+ price tag makes it worth it IMO. Cooking my Shelby lights in the oven was hard enough lol

Plus I'm halogen stock so will need the adapter anyway
