Anyone regret getting the 3.5 Ecoboost and wish they could trade for a 5.0?

When I went in to buy my 17, they kept steering me to the EBs, even though I said up front I wanted a V8. They kept telling me that everyone was wanting the EBs and they couldn't keep them in stock. I had absolutely NO interest in the Ecoboost motors. When I signed the papers, the salesman said "I personally think you made the right engine choice" and I drove away. In my Coyote.
To each their own.

I gave up the exhaust noise when I sold my Boss 302 Mustang. Now quiet makes me happy. I want to kill when one of these idiots with the after market exhaust diesels is in front or behind at the drive thru and I can't hear to place an order.

I shut my Cummins off at the drive thru so I can order and also when a car in front or behind me is ordering. We're not all douches, man.

I came from a 13 Explorer Sport (3.5 TT Ecoboost, same engine as the SHO)put 110 k on it.
I went with the 5.0 this go round due to less maintenance.
The Ecoboost suffers from some pretty bad fuel dilution. the only 2 ways to remedy that is to change the oil often or change the oil often.
2 Spark plugs seem to get used up much faster on the EcoBoost.
Just my.02
When it comes to the next new one will look at the offerings and see what is available.

I wish I could have the 2017+ 3.5 and the 5.0. I passed on the Eco in 2015 because I thought it should have had the dual fuel injection system. Now it has arrived.

I don't have a 3.5L Eco Boost now but had a 2011 and 2013 F-150 with the 3.5L Eco Boost.I now have a 2015 with the 2.7L Eco Boost and don't regret buying it one bit, drove a 5.0 truck the same day as i got the 2015 and liked the 2.7L Eco Boost better. And the best part is it outperforms and gets better mileage then the 2011 and 2013 3.5L Eco Boost trucks did!!!!

I have a 2016 5.0 with 3.55s. I bought mine new and test drove a 3.5 EB when I bought mine. I will honestly say there is a very good chance that if they would have had the same truck as my 5.0 with a 3.5 EB in it I probably would have gotten the 3.5 EB but they did not so I went with the 5.0. I now have 20k+ miles on my 5.0 on it and it has really opened up since it has some miles on it and "broken in." Certainly not disappointed and actually happy I "settled" with the 5.0. Nothing like an American V8. And I have not had one single issue, truck or motor, with my truck. (knocks on wood)

Personally I'd avoid the wear and tear on my starter, but too each their own. Though fast food is the food of "douches" so I can honestly say I am hardly EVER at a drive thru window, except to get a coffee at Tim Horton's.
