1 switch like $16-17
Better shocks $250 than factory(You get to choose what shocks)
Forscan $70 to enable the switch
If you really need the sticker $50
Skid plates....which are questionable at best...$120

I would say get the hill descent switch+forscan=less than $100.
Ok most will need the sticker for cool factor so =$150

The rest of the $770 can go towards real shocks and a date for the night+ tuner ....seems close

If you got the FX4 from the dealer do you feel like you have been had?
No not at all my next truck will have the FX4!
You get the elock a $450 value in the FX4 package so the rest of the features only cost an additional $320 so it is a good value if you want it.

I have just looked at dozen of XLT with 302A and elock is not standard on the 302A so I do not see how it is on the 301A?

Here is a quick video.....none of these are FX4...this is marely a comparison of 301A and 302A .....both truck have E-Lock....look closely at the 4x4 switch/dial...you will see it has a pull **** to enable E-lock...not sure if mentioned in video.

In the video look At 2:24 in the 301A...OR 3:59 302A LOOK AT THE SWITCH....E-Locker on both

Who knows ...maybe if you add a switch and enable in forscan...you could have E-Locker too

See image of the switch below

I agree those trucks have the e locker and it will be a charge on the MSRP!
I am in process of buying new truck now have MSRP printed for 20 trucks on my desk now looking at them and everyone that is not FX4 has a MSRP itemized charge of $470. These are equipped with 2.7 eco and 3.55 elock.

Right - as a $400+ option.

The FX4 shocks are tuned to the different chassis setup. They are better than the standard shocks for the application. Are better shocks available aftermarket ? Of course. How much better and how much more are the questions.

No disrespect but you obviously have no idea how it works and how effective it really is, especially in loose terrain on a slope.

Please what ? I see plenty of scrape marks and scuffs on my skid plates. The parts they protect have none. Seems like they are doing their intended job. Can you buy heavier duty aftermarket skid plates ? Probably. I bet they aren't cheap.

So you get off-road tuned shocks, a locking differential, skid plates and Hill Descent control for $770. Sounds like a no-brainer when buying a $45K+ vehicle - especially if you are opting for a 4x4 model anyway.

I can see that the ones who did not get it are saying it is not worth it. It is ok if it comforts your mind but I am loving it. I love the shocks, skids and decent control and have used them a few times. Compared to non fx, the ruck seems to look more level( could be just me)
