These things are ridiculous. An ordinary coffee travel mug, a large Starbucks cup and even a water bottle all tip over. Especially when not al the way full. Doesn't seem like there was any testing done at all.
Really irritating.

Try a red bull it's even worse. I literally have to drive one handed with any sort of drink there to keep from spilling. Terrible design....I wish there was some sort of insert to replace them.

I've heard others complain about the cup holders but I have no issues at all. There are 4 flexible detents inside each holder that help hold nearly anything I put in there.

+1 For the first six months it seemed that they were so tight I couldn't get the drink out of them without bending the cans!

You must be talking about the cupholders that come with the bench seat trucks. I didn't like that either and bought the truck with the console which is much better.

Yeah I have no problems with the console cup holders. First few months they were almost too tight.

I hate the console cup holders. Guess it depends on what you drink. A 16.9 oz water bottle does not stay upright, nor does a red bull. You guys must be sticking a 20 oz Gatorade or big gulp in there. I could see it holding a wide body, but anything 16.9 oz will tip over (not fall out) every time you brake or accelerate
