Has anyone tuned their truck yet? I'm looking for recommendations for my 5.0 that is on order. What is the best out there? This will be my first truck to put a tuner on, so I don't know too much about them.

 

I used a tuner on my f350 super duty 6.7 diesel, its totally different engine but operation and purpose are the same. Although gas engines don't see as high of gains as diesels do from tuning its still the best "all in one" mod you can make.

I personally have used the edge products cts evolution tuner I love the ease of use and set up and you can monitor different things on the car you might not normally.

For the 2015 5.0, ford changed some things on the engine so it could get an increase in hp and torque so the tuner companies have to first get their hands on a 2015 with the 5.0 and then start breaking down what has been done and see how they can improve the truck on its engine timing, shift points etc. The 2014 model with the cts evolution got 25 hp increase and 28 lbft torque which is a good boost for a gas engine. Like I said though for 2015 I think most are still waiting for the companies to come out with their tune download for the tuner. Some companies may have already I havent really looked into the other companies yet on the new model car/truck tunes.
