Default Any Ford Techs here?

Hey guys, just bought a 2015 F150. It has the 8" MFT display, but no navigation. I've seen online that you can get the navigation sd card and a new reprogrammed APIM to get navigation, but I'm trying to find out if I can just have my existing module reprogrammed and get the navigation sd card instead of having to get a new module? The kits are $1k online and not remotely worth it, but if I can go another route, it might make more sense.

Thanks!

There's s guy doing it over at the mustang6g forum. He reprograms APIMs to convert base mustangs with the 4.2" screen to MFT. Check the audio section under the 'add nav MFT' thread (not exact title). He could tell you for sure.

Check this guy out, from what I have heard he has a good reputation and the prices aren't bad either.

That's pretty sweet and reasonable too.
I doubt I would do the upgrade since a phone does things better in my opinion. But for that price it will be a viable option for some. Cool.

I am. It might be possible. What somebody would do is reprogram the APIM in your truck with the as built data from a VIN number of a truck with NAV. I wouldn't personally even consider doing it for anyone. It's basically fraud/ theft and you risk getting your user ID taken away, which means you can't work. Not worth it.
