Default Any Electrical gurus?

My electrical gremlins are beginning to solidify in their common variables. What do the map and dome lights have in common with the auto lock system and low brake fluid sensor? When the lights stay on I soon get a low brake fluid warning(which the level is ok) and when the auto lock locks the doors the lights go out. Very puzzling to me what they all have in common. it is a 2016 xlt with a 302a package 2 wheel drive sport. Thanks in advance.

Helped a buddy out with random stuff like this on his truck. Have you tried putting in a known good FRESH battery? My buddies truck would start fine like the battery was nice and strong but he was having all kinds of weird gremlins and lights kind of like your describing. Threw a new battery in it just for the hell of it and all the problems were gone and haven't come back.

Haven't tried a new battery yet. I do think I have the original battery in the truck. I have only had this truck since March and the check charging system warning comes and goes. It came from Tennessee and it seemed to be serviced well. I will get the battery checked.

X2 on the battery. Others have made similar posts. And many say that the batterie are toast after 2-3 years often, so your 4+ is well overdue, and it's not like you are pissing money away, consider it saving you this winter. Sure you can have it load tested etc.

My 2017 Lariat starting having electrical issues recently. Drivers door lock, left mirror spot light, new body control module & new light controller. It is currently in the shop for 5 straight weeks having the wiring harness in the cab replaced. Thank goodness for the extended warranty. I hope to get it back early this week.

New battery did not fix my problems. I read here that one guy had a bad wire going from the alternator to the battery. I'll Check that next

In the checking that I have done, the only commonality between auto-lock, low brake fluid and the map and dome lights is that they are all connected to and controlled by the BCM. There have been several instances of the BCM connectors not being completed locked in place. I would look there next.

Thanks. Will unplugging it cause me to have to let it set for 8 hours? I had the battery changed at the dealer 😕 I assume they reset the BMS. Maybe I'll just disconnect it for a while and see if everything magically corrects itself

BCM is the fuse box by the passenger footwell in case you didn't know. Unplugging doesn't mean 8 hours. Ford says 20 minutes of removing the negative battery cable is enough for a BCM reset.
