And 4A. And a jump seat with rear vents. Rear floor storage cubbies.

Ram drivetrains are lacking. Though probably better built.

I'm really curious to see how they're going to upgrade Sync and the electronics. Interior features are becoming about as important as exterior features.

Or if you're wanting to ride out this gen for few years. Maybe waiting till 2020 isn't a bad idea.

I just read today that Chevy just dropped the 6.2L at 420hp into the more models of the 1500, starting at $43,000.
Ford may offer something for 2020 to combat it.

Then do you want year one of the new one? It's not so much the mechanical in the first year now. It's those subtle changes that come in the end of year two, definitely year three.

So that's three years right there, you might not be missing out on anything.
I also feel the shifter being a dial and I like my console shifter. That's just me though, since I've had a console shifter since 2005 and when that's gone. It's going to be a big change for me.

Idk, it makes my head spin thinking about all of it.
I agree with you to buy a 19 but I'm not sure what Ford needs to combat. The Silverados bread and butter is the LT trim. The LT trim sales more than any other trim. The LT only comes with the 5.3 while the direct competition from Ford "XLT" offers the 2 7, 3.5, and 5.0. I think the celebration over the 6.2 is premature considering the 6.2 is not available in the true lower trims, the Work truck, Custom, and LT.

Ford Co-Pilot360 will become standard in all models up to the F150. https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...-pilot360.html

It includes auto braking, LKA and BLIS.

Good info, so all that included on 2020 models of F150?

I believe that GM's move was actually in response to Ford making the 3.5 EcoBoost available in base models. You can now get 3.5 Eco in an XL. The 3.5 Eco outperforms the GM 6.2L trucks.

The 6.2 is still not available in the low trim Silverado. There is a lot of misinformation going around.

Ford could always use it to motivate those holding out for the 2021. But we may not see it until 2021.

Just V8 vs V8. Even though if memory serves that 420 HP in the Denali was slower than the 5.0. So maybe it matters not.

Even though GM has Dynamic Fuel Management. Most Chevy guys can't fathom the thought of a V6 and don't get why we buy Eco's.
I'm sure there had to be some power hungry guys thinking about jumping ship when they put the same old 5.3 in the new body. Now, maybe they'll stay put and it wouldn't surprise me if some Ford guys swapped sides.

Being a diehard V8 guy and the body of my truck was off the frame right now.. 420hp under fifty grand, might be just what the Dr ordered.

As far as I'm concerned.. I agree. I think the others are always playing catch up.
