Default Another P04db thread question.

I've read every forum post about this I could find so far and havent gotten an answer. I have a '17 3.5 eco with 12,xxx miles. Last Saturday I installed an mbrp 4" catback and K&N CAI. I unplugged the battery for a hour hooked it back up and all was well. Monday driving home from work CEL came on with the p04db code, one of my wire connections was loose on the MAT sensor( I bought a used k&n off of a '16 and of course they moved the sensor location for '17 so I had to extend the plug a few inches to reach). Reset the code and it's been off all week. Today it came back and I reset it again currently off. It seems like this is extremely common with CAI's, question is can this harm the engine at all? Love the way the truck drives and sounds, runs good, still shifting like **** after the KAM reset but only put about 20 miles on it so far. Is driving with the code intermittently popping up gonna do any damage and is the only fix a tune?
