I’ve been a claims adjuster for all types of 3rd party warranties.
No waiting period, no max payout, I pay sales tax and fluids. They will pay BMW labor rates without question so I’m sure they can handle Ford.

Who is the warranty company? Typically you do not pay tax and you are not charged for fluids when they are required by a covered repair. Max amount of repairs not to exceed vehicle value is pretty standard verbiage on used cars. It makes sense if you think about it.

Route66 is the company.

no deductible, but it clearly says I pay sales tax and it didn’t cover fluids and I think gaskets. I’ve had extended warranties before and they’ve never covered fluids

Seriously tho…what’s Google?
The number of times I've used Google to find an answer on a forum somewhere at the first response is "use Google" - like...how do you think content is created for Google to find?

Right!? I mean I expected and invited his response, but I literally FOUND this forum with Google. My issue was, and is, if you just “do a Google search,” as @onestout suggested, you get so much conflicting info and it gets difficult to weed through it all. Theres conflicting answers in this thread already. And sometimes Google can’t find your exact scenario, so you have to ask the question.

If I could find all my answers on Google, these forums wouldn’t exist.

And to think I have almost 100k miles on my 2018 5 L with no VCT issues, oil passage under control for the last 45k miles, a smooth idle and fine cold and hot Trans shifting performance.
More problems picking up screws and nails ruining tires than anything else.
Stay away from the home supply centers where the builders spill this stuff off their trucks in the close by parking areas.
Its trying to get me one way or another. LOL.

Good luck.

Yeah I bought the 3.5 knowing the risks, which is why I got the warranty. Everything said if the can phasers were done, then it’s a pretty bullet proof motor. But TBH I would’ve taken a Coyote or a 2.7. This truck just happened to check all my boxes and was in my budget.

You think Home Depot is bad, try the railroad! Was driving a company vehicle down the right of way and put a RR spike through the tread and through the aluminum wheel!
