Default Annoying rattle from driver side B pillar

Like the title says, my truck has developed an annoying rattle on the driver side of the vehicle. Specifically BY MY LEFT FRIGGIN EAR. It is ungodly annoying. I've tried to narrow it down but everything seems solid as a rock. It happens going over light to heavy bumps in the road. It seems to be coming from the B pillar high up towards the head rest area. It's not the seat belt adjuster and all the screws in that door area appear to be toight like a tiger (name that movie reference). I haven't removed the panels or anything. Just wondering if anyone else has developed any kind of rattles in this area. I do not have a sunroof. The best way I can describe the sound is like sand in a small plastic bag being shaken every time I hit a bump. I've got an oil change coming up so I'll see what the dealership says. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

My 2017 Lariat has the exact same rattle in the b pillar. My truck goes in next week and this is one of the issues on the.list for the dealer to take care of.

I have just started noticing the same thing as Gibson2015. He said it perfectly and I have the exact same issues. I thought at one point it had to do with my window was not tight enough.
I have a 2016 XLT 302a package, made in Dearborn.

Thanks for the reply. I was starting to feel like the only one with the issue. When you get it looked at keep us updated. I'm hoping the dealership doesn't shrug it off.

I'm in the Northeast and it's been cold as a witch's tit. I wonder if the temperature has anything to do with it. Didn't notice it in warmer weather. My truck is also a Dearborn plant vehicle. Plans on letting the dealership try to figure out the problem?

I hear it sometimes, too. It almost seems as if the door isn't closing tight enough and the sandpaper sound is the weather-stripping rubbing together. At least that's what I think it is.

Certainly, I am going in also for Oil in a few weeks. Just waiting till my knee heels a bit more, Just had a knee replacement at the end of November. I live in Ontario right across the river from Detroit. And yes it has been cold as a SOB lately. If my memory serves me right it started happening just this last two months also.

Funny you mention the weather stripping. There is a harder plastic piece on the inside of the rear driver side door (SCREW). If I fiddle with it it seems like it could be the sound. But don't know how it would bounce at all or move around when I hit a bump. I'll update with a picture shortly.

I have the same rattle/ noise. It doesn’t seem to be very loud that I recall. Sometimes I hear it, some times I don’t... that may be from different radio volumes. I’m interested in what they find

I had what could possibly be the sound you guys are experiencing. Clipped the visor into place instead of just letting it sit next to the clasp and the noise is gone.
