When I bought my 2016 Ford f150 android auto 2.2 was not out yet. So I updated my sync 3 with a focus rs update 2.2 non map. Now that the update 3.0 is out I have tried to get it to load from a thumb drive it won't work so I took it into Ford they tried and they couldn't get it to load they told me that my sync 3 radio is shot and it cost $900 for new one installed. It still works but flickers and a lot of time trying to make a call the radio volume stays on. Has anybody else had this problem and configured a workaround. My first thought was to find a 3.0 update for focus and see if that would work. or is there some way to unload 2.2 and start over? for focus and see if that would work?
