Default Ambient lighting

So I’m prepping a new ecosport today and was playing with sync and they have ambient lighting color control available. How the heck does this 20k dollar crap box get that feature and not my platinum f150?!?!

LOL, there are quite a few little things that Ford cut corners on that make me scratch my head. I have an XLT so I kind of get it, (a highly optioned one, but still an XLT) but for you though with the top of the line model, that is ridiculous. The Platinum, Limited and King Ranch should come fully loaded like other manufacturers do with their top tier models.

Ford is already behind the ball on some of the options that come standard on the existing Chevy. With the new Silverado and RAM hitting, Ford is really going to be behind so I expect the new gen F150 will make a big jump. Look for them to finally address their long standing weakness with the headlights as well.

50k F150 gets halogen headlamps, but I see 25k Fords on the road with LED DRL fog lights. Freaking fog lights and they cant even give the F150 decent headlights.

My 13' FX4 had the projector HID's and they were amazing. I don't understand how my 18' went backwards... LOL. I still personally think dollar for dollar and model for model, the F150 is the best bang for the buck on the market, but there are quite a few things that Ford leaves out that will sell trucks to people that are not brand loyal. For me it was a simple choice; I have too much experience with Dodge vehicles at work to ever spend my own money on one (even though I love the Hell Cat Challenger and the Ram Rebel). And Chevy's interior just looks and feels cheap to me which is something I could never get over.

Every light on my truck is led except for the plate lights. Like really, we couldn’t spend 10 more dollars on bulbs. The messed up thing was color control was available on the F150 until 2018 model year if I’m not mistaken.

In 2013 the FX4 was actually a trim level positioned between an XLT and a Lariat (pretty close to a Lariat), and that's why you had the nice headlights. Beginning in 2015 they killed the FX4 as a trim level and now its just a package you can get on any trim level. So when you get the FX4 package on an XLT, no nice headlights, only halogens.

My 2017 King Ranch has all LED lighting with ambient lighting color control.
Cupholder rings, door panels, under dash lighting and under seat lighting, all can change color in the Sync 3 settings

It is still listed as an option on all models on the build page.

It is an option. I have it but the only color choice is ice blue. I just thought it was funny the sardine can suv has the ability to control the colors but 18 F150 owners will not lol.
