Am I Crazy
My 50,000 mile Blue Flame Sport 16 XLT lacks some things that I really want: dual climate control, push-button start, LED headlights, power folding mirrors, leather, FX4 package. Am I crazy to trade my truck, along with a $20,000 check to get a new Lightning Blue Sport 18 Lariat with these features that my 16 does not have? The 18 lists for $56,000.

not crazy .. when you work hard in life.. life rewards you with the ability to enjoy it how you want and acquire the things that you want. People are going to come here and tell you about financial decisions and investments, but at the end of the day its really about what makes YOU happy and if YOU feel good about it...
Life's short man.. f*ck it.. go for it

If you have to ask....
Nothing crazy about that, its just where your priority is and thats no ones business as long as you can pay it.
Anyway Id try to get that price difference like 15,000.

I've got a Lariat 502a and love it. I've got a buddy with an XLT and not much on it. I'm so glad I spent the extra dough. No regrets!

As long as your finances are in order and you don't live in your parents basement go for it. But if you dont own a house and/or are not saving enough for retirement then I say hold off. I wasted 10's of thousands of dollars over the decades buying new vehicles I really didnt need.
Thats my buzz kill answer,
