Default Aluminium vs Steel Bed Commercial

I know we've all seen the Chevy commercial comparing the Chevy steel bed vs the Ford Aluminum bed. I just saw this Youtube video that REALLY proves just how edited that commercial really is. Thought I'd share it with those interested.

Only a fckn moron would dump paving stone bricks or rock into a truck like this with a skid steer!

That said...it would be nice if Ford did offer a steel option for contractors.

Typical manipulation. They should have run both trucks through weather simulators for the equivalent of 5 years and watch the Chevy bed erode away with rust.

As a long term recovering Chevy owner, this is very true. Spent ALOT of time flighting rust. The steel doesn't stay very strong when it's rusting away from the inside.

A good sheet of plywood is often seen cutout and fitted in the bed of contractor's trucks...regardless of brand.

I need to remember to wear my hard hat next time I sweep out my bed.

LineX will also GREATLY increase the strength and protection for the bed. Heck a drop in liner will also protect from most sharp or jagged materials. Most owners now use some type of bed protection system. The entire concept of dumping heavy jagged concrete in unprotected pickup bed is just plain stupid IMO. GM has inferiority complex when it comes to the F150. They are always comparing their trucks to the leader the F150 which tells me all I need to know.......
