I had a set of studded snows on my ram, the worked good, but we're so noisy and rough I hated to drive it. Put a set of General Grabber AT2' s on my work van and I was so impressed with how they were in the snow, I decided to get a set of them (265/70/17) on steel wheels for my F150. I absolutely love them. They have the snow peak symbol on the sidewall.

I bought winter tires for the first winter, but it was after we already got a nit of snow and ice. HUGE difference! The stock Hankooks sucks for snow and ice. Drove in some pretty deep stuff and ice this past winter and no issues at all with the winter tires on! I always run winter tires on all my vehicles...

I'm in Oil Springs, just moved there from Sarnia. I still find it worth it to go over the boarder every once and a while. I don't do groceries over there, but I do buy my dog food there and a third the price.

55,000km's 2.7EB with mixed city/highway I average 10.5l/100k. Straight highway @100km/h gets me ~9-9.5 l/100k. 80km/h freeways I get as high as 8.2 l/100km. Alberta major highways 110km/h 10.8-11.
