Default Are all 10R80 transmissions compatible?

Might be a newbie question but are all 10R80 transmissions compatible? I have 4WD 2018 F150 that needs a new transmission or a complete overhaul. Just trying to get a few options for myself.

I know Ford has put the 10R80 in a few different models since its release. Just seeing if the 10R80 from a Mustang or Ranger would work in my F150? Will a 2WD transmission work in my 4WD?

Not an expert here, but I think the valve body calibration needs to be written to the truck. I don't think it would be plug and play?

I am not exactly sure how to go about doing this... need to pull some numbers off of the replacement? But I have seen some information that the new barcode is needed that comes with the valve body and I am not sure how to match that up with the number on an existing valve body.

Just some additional research to do.

2WD and 4WD F150s have the same transmission.
What happened for you to need a new transmission in a 4 year old truck?
