So I recently installed Bilstine 5100 leveling struts set at the 2" mark. Drove it around for 2 days hoping to have it settle before getting it realigned, went to a new shop no problems there. About 3 weeks later I noticed the steering wheel was tilting about 2-3 degrees to the right, little all over the place but driving decent. Initially though it was just the crown of the road but did it during the whole 100mile drive home. Took it back to the same shop yesterday, they said the toe was out they realigned with in spec, drove it home it was fine. Driving to work this morning it went back to the 2-3 degrees. Within those 3 weeks it could have been like that for a while and just realized it or it could have just happened. Has anyone had this problem before? Bad shop? Electric Power Assist Steering problem? Bad installation? What I don’t understand if its truck problems why would it align within spec and then go out again?
even though its straight when i get it back from the shop.
You said you could have just now realized it so I removed the possibility that it was like that the whole time. Regardless take it to the alignment shop and tell them it's been like that and have them check the alignment and straighten the wheel.
