Alignment questions
Not trying to start an issue, but...
Stock 2020, 3.5 L, 116,000 miles, never been alligned since new. Tires wear even (2 sets), drives fine, 20 mpg +/-. All fluids and spark plugs replaced. Pinion seal repair.

I tend to just check my alignment each year, I take the truck in so it can be on a lift and the suspension/brakes checked yearly, the guys in that shop know me well and finish the checks on an alignment rack. I have full alignment records for the suspension parts installed, and from some bushing replacements, since new 2017. The rest are courtesy checks (I grease the shop with complimentary doughnuts).
"Taking corners and curves too quickly will wear front tire edges because the tire folds over in the curve. Its not alignment related." On the contrary alignment can have a BIG effect. This is why competition cars run odd looking alignments. Alignment affect more than just corner traction, the settings affect turn in responsiveness, agility and compensate for suspension deflection at road speeds. KM

One other motivation for the lifetime alignment…I was/am open to lowering the front 1/2” lower than the rear… it’s a fraction lower at the moment. I wanted the confidence and ability to dial in the truck in the future. I was going to have the first alignment no matter what, so the extra $100 would break me even with a second, which I was sure to do. I really don’t know if I will align any more than that, but if they are doing the oil it seems easy to check the alignment.
I’ll see about how to check tie rods, and if they really are an issue I’ll see if it’s work I can do, then have them align.
i am in no mood with this economy to be dolling out premium rate cash. It’s just too hard to earn back these days.
