Default Alignment Question

So I just installed my 1.5" Autospring leveling kit this week. (Totally love the stance now, this is how it should look from new IMO) So I made an appointment at my local Firestone for the alignment. I have had good experiences there in the past like them not charging me when my last truck was in spec. So I told the guy why I want it aligned, and he said do I have the new specs. He said that most lifts come with new specs, which I understand for a complete lift. He said I need to be aware that they may not be able to match the factory specs and that it may undo the lift..

I assume that the goal is to match factory specs with only a 1.5" lift. Has anyone had issues getting their trucks back into spec after leveling them? Will the current stance droop after I get it aligned?

That guys an idiot. Tell them to align it to factory specs. Should have only changed the toe anyhow.

Btw, don't let them cheap out and use old specs. Mine had to be downloaded from Hunter Quick specs when I did mine.

That's what I was thinking. By old specs, you mean from the last body style?

The sad thing is, there are probably lots of guys that do alignments, that don't actually know how to deal with something that isn't as it was built from the factory. It takes a true understanding of alignment angles and what adjustments affect what. Most guys know "green means good" lol and can't think outside the box

Yes. I've seen a handful of guys on here proudly post their printout on here with "04-08" entered on the vehicle.

The shops they choose are too cheap to pay Hunter for updates. That stuff is VERY expensive and everyone bit**** and wants $50 alignments. We charge $89.95 and thats a STEAL considering the Hawkeye Elite was 40k plus constant updates = $$$$$. We've got a jackleg tire shop down the street competing with us that has a 35+ year old alignment machine, heck, they might as well have a string and a tape measure.
