Default Alignment with 3” leveling kit

Just putting this out there, you can get your pickup aligned with a 3” leveling kit with oem UCA’s, I’ve been seeing that you can’t but you in fact can. Not sure if having stock UCA’s will effect the off-road performance or if it will cause my cv boots to wear faster or if my cv axel in general will wear faster, if anyone has some insight on this I’d love to hear about it, thank you.

Your down travel is limited, control arms are riding at the bottom of their arc all contributing to a harsh off-road ride. Your UCA has no impact on your CV boot or joint. Since these trucks don’t have droop stops all of your limiting stress is probably resting on that UBJ, hopefully it doesn’t let go at speed.

FWIW, I guess. I have had HaloLifts Aluma coilovers on my 2020 for about a year now. I was looking for 2.5" level, but wound up with a 3" level after suspension spread back out after install. I'm still using the OEM UCA. My truck doesn't see any hard offroading, is driven on rough logging/fire trails when I feel like it. No problem at all with ride, wear, failures, or anything. Only thing that needed adjustment was toe in, and that's to be expected. Mine is an XLT as well, so in 2H, my front end is actually disconnected and CV's are not turning, the increased angle of them, in my case, are not an issue either.
