Default Alarm's & Security System

Ford Accessories lists a Remote Start System which appears to be a Cell Phone Access.
The info they give is:
Remote Access

Part No: DL3Z-19A390-B

SRP: $385.71 Suggested Retail Price:View Details

  • Start vehicle from nearly anywhere with the dedicated Access Smartphone App.
  • Lock, Unlock, Start and Find functions.
  • Optional security feature provides shock/impact detector, perimeter alarm and theft alerts via text or e-mail.
  • Covered under New Vehicle Warranty when installed at time of vehicle sale.
  • Requires annual data plan.

Vehicle Notes: Requires Vehicle Security Kit 19A361 at an additional cost.

The window sticker on my Platinum lists an Advanced Security Pack.
I know it has perimeter alarm. What additional, if anything, has to be added to use this?

This kinda crap drives me nuts, why in the heck would it be illegal? Is it also illegal to open your garage door if you are more than .03375 meters away from your driveway?
I thought only Minnesota laws were crazy!

This is why I live in VA even though I work in Baltimore, stupid laws, oppressive taxes, can't buy guns or ammo without 6 months of paperwork BS, can't get a concealed carry permit and the list goes on and on

Not to change the subject but how do you like the Extang Encore? Mines still in the box waiting for the Truck.
