Default Air Filters, air filters, air filters

Was curious what air filter you guys recommend. I am due for an air filter as well as cabin air filter. I notice of coarse K&N looks great, but also AEM dry flow filters, or OEM.

I was surprised to find that K&N makes a reusable washable cabin filter as well!

Motorcraft for both.

Each are less than $15 on Amazon.

I have an AEM Dryflow and have had if for about 15k miles with good results. It works like stock and is reusable. I prefer to change filters yearly (~18-20k miles) so in theory it’ll save a little money over time. I am sure the OEM works fine, I just wanted something different.

Opinions will vary but I run an aem dry flow( made by k&N I belive)...i opted for this to be able to wash and reuse it for the life of my truck and possibly save a few bucks in the long run. I will admit there was no peformance gain to be had. If i were to do it again I would prob just stick with oem but the aem was pretty reasonably priced. The oem are cheap enough and more than tough and flow enough for the job. I have always used K&N but cleaning and oiling got old and many ppl have many diferent views on them. Just my .02 cents Canadian which is basically worthless these days Lol

When I replaced the air filter on mine I bought a Wix filter, the pleats are much taller (more surface area) then the ones on the Motocraft version. Go check it out for yourself and then decide what the better filter is.
