Well, today's drive home was a rude awakening. The air conditioning in my truck went out. It was a great commute home in stop and go traffic; 90 degree temperatures were a nice touch too.

A little over 28k miles on her and honestly I was expecting more. I know it is still under the 3/36k, but the 125k warranty I have is looking like it was an even better and better idea.

It's looking like getting the extended full cover everything and rental warranty is going to be a must have with these new trucks. If you can't afford a new one every three years.. Or in your case every few months..

I'm afraid that I have to agree with you. I have the full coverage with rental for 7/125k and it has already paid for itself (after this trip) in rentals alone.

I love my truck, I really do, but damn! I'll be holding onto this one until the warranty is up and then I don't know if I'll want to be taking the gamble on the longevity game.

I waited and waited to buy as I wanted a truck that wouldn't rust out like my 2002 did.. Not knowing what a gamble I was taking.. Now true I love my truck, but getting tiring planning my life around trips to the dealer..

I hear you on that one. It's aggravating to say the least.

I finally heard from my service advisor. The high side switch failed and led to a complete depressurization of the air conditioning system.
