Default Air Bag Light after Clock Spring replace

Changed out clock spring to resolve the malfunctioning buttons on the steering wheel. That has worked great (horn and buttons). However now i have the airbag light on the dash. Connections all seemed good. I have not scanned for codes yet. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I hope you didnt do the work with the battery connected! Did you start the truck with the airbag disconnected?

If you did the work with the battery disconnected, you should be able to clear that SRS light.

Make sure the two small connectors are all the way plugged in until they click. Same thing happened to me when I changed the steering wheel.

Good morning. Are you still experiencing this air bag light concern? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.
