Default Aftermarket Head Unit and Wifi Functionality

Hey everyone, I have a 2019 f150 and I have been thinking of replacing the factory head unit with something that will give me greater sound control and a bit more wattage as I add aftermarket door speakers. However, I use the WiFi subscription available through AT&T and am concerned about the new head unit restricting WiFi functionality in the vehicle. Does anyone know if there is a way to manage my WiFi with an aftermarket head unit?

4 or 8 inch screen? Nav? A little more info would be helpful but, even at that and your mention a bit more wattage for the speaker upgrade says to me the addition of a amp of some sort would be better than replacing the OEM head unit.

I'd leave the HU alone and get an amp and a DSP and call it done.

Thanks for the responses. One reason for me to consider a new HU is that there greater sound control beyond more power. I'm not an expert but I like fine tuning my sound, adjusting the EQ and crossovers, etc. On the factory unit there is only bass, midrange and treble. Maybe the amp and DSP is the way to go. Thanks for the suggestions!

One of the first things i did on my 2015 was install new Focal speakers and an AMP and it was money well-spent because i didnt want to replace the factory head unit since no aftermarket options appealed to me. Keep the factory head unit and just get new speakers and an amp

AMP and DSP is the ONLY way to go to retain 100% functionality.

Having DSP control in the radio is overrated. Should largely be a one and done deal. Meter the system to zero out the response, then fine tune to match your hearing. After that, you really only need hi/mid/bass controls to adjust for significantly varied musical genres. The better you initially set up your system, the less tinkering it needs in use.

If you really want fine control, there are more than a few DSP/s with remotes. Honestly, though, most of us do not have the hearing to be that **** about our systems, it's just ODC kicking in.

If you've got the 4in screen, aftermarket is the way to go.
