I am thinking a cost effective option may be to pick up some used OEM stockers locally and try my hand at doing a paint to match setup. Can get stockers locally for around $75-100. Then it's just my time and effort. Plus magnetic ptm would be pretty sweet.

LED bulbs require special designed housings/projector lenses to properly work and not blind other drivers.
If you want LED's, feel free, but please buy the LED loaded headlight buckets.

Proper LED headlights have the same cutoff as halogen bulbs as they are designed for halogen housings. Just make sure they are properly aimed.
HIDs and cheap LEDs are probably what the above poster the complaining about and doesn't realize it.

Don't believe me...look at actual OEM LED headlight buckets from auto manufacturers...they are projector lenses with flattened top and bottom. The flattened parts accurately aim the LED light down the road.

Please post link to these "proper LED headlights" for "halogen housings" for research purposes. I have NEVER seen any LED bulbs designed to work in halogen buckets. Every LED bulb I have ever seen must have a properly designed headlight bucket to accurately aim the light down the road and not into on coming drivers faces.

and below is what my cutoff looks like. I adjusted them a bit higher, and when I'm driving at night, I can clearly see where the light falls on oncoming cars. Well below the face of drivers in even the lowest cars.
