Default AFE scorcher

Hey just wondering if anyone here has tried the AFE Scorcher module. I was thinking of getting one and wanted to hear from anyone's experiences. Thanks

If you are spending the money.. I'd go with an SCT x4 instead.

No experience with it but have been looking at it. Disadvantage is no true way of tuning and it doesn't do any thing for gas mileage. Pro is it doesn't leave any digital footprint.

The AFE scorcher is just a boost fooler that basically tricks the ECU to run more boost. You are much better off using the SCT x4 since you can custom tune it later when you decide to upgrade other parts.

dont be surprised if you run the scorcher and have a couple check engine lights.

I agree with white_dc - I ran a similar product (JMS BoostMax) which put me in limp mode after less than 500 miles. I personally don't trust these types of products that manipulate signals to fool the ecu/pcm. Also, when I was doing research I specifically read negative feedback on the scorcher blowing engines (might have been on the. Net site)

I've since installed a Livernois tune and couldn't be happier. IMO, a true tune is the best way to go for both performance and reliability.

Well the whole idea of the post was to see if any has had some real world experience not to see how well you google! I've done the research and now I was looking for some one who's used it on here!!

So I decided to give it a shot and I ordered the scorcher! But then I immediately regretted it! I guess y'alls comments, the lack of actual users and the abundance of negative reviews ( by people who haven't even used it by the way, literally most of the reviews were from non users ) I sent it back as soon as I received it and now I'm gonna get a tuner!

Some one had mentioned SCT witch is on stage3motorsports for a good price! I've also heard livernois was good as well but I can't seem to find the livernois to purchase!

What's y'alls thoughts should I just get the SCT?
