Default Adding Trailer Assist Light

I already saw the other thread. Asked a question but no response probably because it was an old thread. So the harness that connects to the tailgate does not have the purple wire (both sides) has the extra ground no purple. But up higher i found a another plug with the purple wire from the body harness but the side towards the rear (tailgate/lights) does not have the purple wire. My question is can i repin the two harnesses to i can generate the purple wire to the plug that the tailgate plugs into? My camera plug has 8 instead of the 9. It has the ground for the light but no purple wire and had a nub on both ends where the purple should be. Thank you

tailgate side

The other side of this plug does not have purple coming out

Yes you can add a pin and add the needed wire to complete the circuit. That "nub" is likely a sealing plug that you will need to remove before adding the pin.

Thank you. What is weird is the pin is there but the nub is blocking it. Hopefully I can use the pin I can't find them anywhere

The connector you are showing is a Molex MX-150 Series Mat-sealed Connector

The male pins are as follows:
14 AWG use Molex 33000-0001 or 33000-1001
16-20 AWG use Molex 33000-0002 or 33000-1002
22 AWG use Molex 33000-0003 or 33000-1003

The female pins are as follows:
14-16 AWG use Molex 33012-2001 or 33012-3001
18-20 AWG use Molex 33012-2002 or 33012-3002
22 AWG use Molex 33012-2003 or 33012-3003

The sealing plug is 34345-0001

The only difference between the two part numbers for each wire gauge is one is for right hand reeled and one is for left hand reeled. If you haven't seen this before, pins are connected to each other by a strip. They are rolled up on a reel either right handed or left handed. This is only important for the big guys with automatic pinning machines. For you, it obviously doesn't matter. The above pins are for tin. Silver plated are also common. If you need it, I can give you those part numbers as well

Digikey is showing 3-5 week delivery depending on the pin. If you check Digikey, drop the dash in the part number for your search. There are other suppliers you can check.
