I love my 2016 xlt just missing some options i would like to have, like cooled seats, its hot here in Tampa lol. How much would the parts run me to get this done or it be better to find a totaled one with working seats thank you.

At minimum I think you'd have to add seats from a Lariat or higher, along with the dash APIM bezel. At that point, it'd be worth it to pick up a Lariat door panel to add the memory seats as well.
No idea on cost, though.

I've actually considered making some redneck cooled seats on my XLT, but have yet to full figure this out. There is a housing directly below the seats that blows air at the feet of the rear seat passengers, mostly for heat in the winter I believe. I'd like to rig up some sort of duct work to direct the air upwards and out between the driver's seat bottom and back. Figuring out the duct work is the tricky part. You would need some sort of wide flat hose, ideally something that won't collapse.

And then you need seatguru's mod to actually make the seats cool......

Katzkin has Heated and Cooled seats that use a TED. I believe it was $1800 when I priced them last year. I don't think you need the controls. They put a heat and cool button on the seats.

I considered it it because I was disappointed with my current cooled seats. Same device though, so not sure it would be better.

Haven't been able to get opinions from anyone that has had it done.

Good luck.
