Adding Rear Camera Question
I have added a rear camera (using a couple older threads from here) and got it to work. I tapped into the wires on the fender well and ran an RCA cable to the tailgate and drilled a hole for the camera in the latch assembly. My question is that I have the lines showing on my screen (not exactly correct, but there) are they coming from the truck or the camera it self? The camera instructions say to cut a wire to turn them off. I have not done this, and don't know if I need to or not. Also, Can anyone else that has done this see their hitch? I am about 3-4" away from seeing the ball on my hitch. My truck has the 4.2" display if that matters.

The guide lines are a function of the camera. If you don't want them to be visible on the screen, then you would cut that wire. I installed an RCA camera under the third brake light on the cab for a bed cam and cut that wire to not have the guide lines in the view.
It sounds like your camera angle needs to be pointed downward a little more in order to have the hitch ball in the camera's view.
