Default Adding rear back up camera

I have the dust cover in my glove box, and I have the 101a package wth the powered options on my 15. I just picked it up brand new Monday and I was wondering if I can just install a camera and have them flash it? Is it prewired already to work with my 4.2 screen?

I have the same situation as well. It seems a few people have installed this but I was hoping someone could provide some details as the instructions are not clear if any of it is prewired on the 101a package. If anyone does install it I hope they can make a quick video.

Ok well went under the truck and come to find out the xl package only has the 2 wires for the locking tailgate going through that harness. What a bummer

I installed the kit from camera source on my XL. It comes with the wire harness that you have to run from the tailgate handle to the center dash. The kit flashed the 4.2 inch screen without the dealer. My friend did most of the install for me, so I don't know much more than that.

How much was the kit all said and done. It seems like it's around 7-800 which isn't worth it to me

It's $587 on their site right now which is how much I paid. It was worth every penny for me. I work in the city of Chicago.
