Hello, I have a couple of questions.
1. I have a 2016 F150 crewcab 4x4, 2.7, FX4 XLT. It has SYNC 3 no nav . How can I tell if it has the Sony system?

2. I was thinking of adding the stock sub woofer as there is one on my local Craigslist for under $50, catch is it does not come with the factory amplifier . can I buy just the Sony sub amp?

I know on my wife's focus it has Sony on the ****.

Not sure on the amp, I thought it was part of the enclosure

 

I guess ford offered 2 different variations one is the Sony one with the sub and the amp being separate, and the other has the amp mounted on the enclosure,.

 

It should say sony up on the center speaker on top of the dash, just above the radio where the tray is. If not, then it doesn't have the premium sony system. If you didn't have a factory sub, the kit you'd want to get for ease of install and it just works is from Kicker audio. iirc Ford offered that one as an option if you wanted a sub still but didn't want the full nav/sync setup which is what the sony option was. if you picked the sony option, the kicker sub was no longer an available option to you.
